1. About this policy
G22 develops Intentional, an iOS app that helps you pause before opening selected apps and manage intentional access to them. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Intentional.
This policy covers the app. Visiting this website or sending us an email involves separate web hosting or email services; it does not give us access to the information stored inside Intentional.
2. Data on your device
Intentional stores information locally to provide its features:
- App selections: references provided by Apple's Screen Time system for the apps you select, and app names or aliases used in the interface.
- Preferences and routines: pause and session durations, blocking schedules, routine profiles, custom reasons, and display preferences.
- Session information: pending access requests, active sessions, temporary pauses, and the times needed to restore blocking.
- Activity history: requests and blocking changes, including associated apps, reasons, dates, and durations. Weekly summaries are calculated from these saved records, not from a complete record of your device usage.
This information is stored in the app's local storage, including an area shared with its iOS extensions so that blocking can work while the app is closed.
3. Screen Time permissions
Intentional asks for your permission to use Apple's Screen Time features (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity). These features let you select apps, apply blocking screens, and manage schedules and temporary access.
Apple's system represents selections using privacy-preserving references. Intentional does not read the content of other apps, your messages, or your browsing history. The activity history in Intentional records interactions with its own blocking features.
You can revoke Intentional's Screen Time authorization in iOS Settings. Revoking this permission prevents the app from managing blocking; it does not itself erase your saved preferences or history.
5. Retention and your controls
The activity history keeps up to 500 of the most recent events. Older events are removed as new events exceed this limit. You can delete the saved history at any time using History → Clear history in the app.
Clearing history does not reset your selected apps, preferences, routine profiles, or active sessions. New events may be recorded as you continue using Intentional. You can change selections and preferences and delete custom reasons or routine profiles through the app.
Other saved settings remain on the device until changed or removed. To remove the app and its local data, use the iOS Delete App option rather than Offload App, which keeps app data. Device backups are managed separately through Apple or your computer.
6. Apple services and backups
Intentional does not provide its own cloud synchronization or backup service. iOS may include app data in device backups depending on your settings. Apple controls its operating system, Screen Time services, App Store, and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple.
These services are governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can manage device backups and related privacy settings using Apple's controls.
7. Contact and privacy requests

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include so we can respond. Please avoid sending sensitive app history or personal information that is not needed for your request. You may also use this address to request deletion of correspondence you have sent us.
We cannot retrieve or delete the app's local records remotely. Use the controls described above to manage that information on your device.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Intentional changes. The latest version will be available on this page, with its revision date shown above.
